Polokwane ā Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt after the half-naked body of an unidentified woman was discovered near Polokwane Airport.
According to authorities, a municipality streetsweeper spotted the body lying in bushes opposite the airport, close to the police K9 Unit, at around 08:00, on Saturday, 4 April 2026.
Emergency Medical Services confirmed the woman, believed to be about 35 years old, had suffered head injuries.
She was found wearing blue jeans but no top.
Investigators suspect the victim may have been killed elsewhere before her body was dumped at the scene.
Police said all relevant units attended the site and a search for the suspect or suspects was now underway.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, spokesperson for the Limpopo police, urged members of the public to assist in identifying the victim or providing information that could lead to an arrest.
