​Strengthening of parliamentary capacities: El Malick Ndiaye opens a strategic seminar for the 15th legislature 

  The President of the National Assembly, El Malick Ndiaye, presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar on capacity building for the Members of the Fifteenth Parliament. Organised with the support of the United Nations System and the Government of Canada, this seminar marks a key step in the reform and modernisation of the Senegalese parliamentary institution. “We want to equip each Member of Parliament with the tools and skills necessary to exercise his mandate fully and effectively, in a context marked by complex and multidimensional challenges”, declared El Malick Ndiaye. The work will focus on major themes, including parliamentary law, budgetary control, evaluation of public policies, parliamentary diplomacy, digital governance, human rights, and the appropriation of the economic and social recovery plan recently presented by the government. The President of the National Assembly welcomed the constant support of the technical and financial partners, as well as the commitment of the Government of Senegal, underlining that this initiative reflects a common desire to build a strong, modern and citizen-oriented institution.
