Sudanese military regains control of the Presidential Palace following intense fighting in Khartoum.

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have regained control of the Presidential Palace in Khartoum, representing a significant symbolic win in their conflict with the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Starting in April 2023, intense fighting between the two factions has led to a humanitarian disaster in Sudan, resulting in more than 28,000 casualties and displacing 11 million individuals. The RSF reports that the Sudanese Army has regained control of the Presidential Palace following a violent clash in Khartoum.
