This morning, a light in the penumbra of the rising dawn, my phone vibrated. It was not an idle message, but a vivid memory, an echo of another time: “Happy anniversary of arrest”. This date, 13 October 1998, is engraved in me. It’s the day when the dawn lost its innocence to take the face of prisoners. The day when my life was changed by the noise of the locks. The leaders of the indictment are still resonating, like a funest refrain: “Offense to the Head of State, diffusion of false news, provocation to insurrection”.
