The Chief Judge of Taraba State, Justice Joel Agya, on Tuesday announced the schedule for the 2025 Christmas and New Year vacation for all high courts across the state.
In a statement issued in Jalingo, Justice Agya said the break will run from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, to Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
He explained that the notice aligns with the Taraba State High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2011, citing Order 8 Rule 4 (C), which, according to him, stipulates that civil matters shall be conducted on all working days except during the period beginning on Christmas Eve and ending on Jan. 2 of the following year.
The chief judge said the circular serves as official notification to the judiciary and the general public that all high courts in the state will observe the holiday period accordingly.
