Kwatsaduzza Cabs Entertainment is driving change. This week, they donated 30 pairs of school shoes to local learners, sparking hope and unity in communities.

Members of Kwatsaduzza Cabs Entertainment donated 30 pairs of school shoes on Monday. Ten learners from Nkabinde Primary School were the first to receive them.

Sipho Mphuthi explained that the group comprises taxi owners, “We came together after participating in Umdlalo Wamanzi, an event where owners showcase modifications to their vehicles. Initially, we wanted to build positive relationships and end the taxi violence.

“There has been a lot of bullying among taxi associations from different neighbourhoods, but that doesn’t benefit any of us. If we have good relations, a driver can go anywhere knowing they will be treated well,” Mphuthi added.

He said the group decided to give back to the communities that support their businesses.

“We can’t always be on the receiving end. This is our way of contributing to the futures of these children,” he said.

Mphuthi said they plan to do more for the schools they had chosen.

Tshidiso Sibeko, a teacher at Nkabinde Primary, thanked the group for their thoughtful contribution, “We hope they continue their good work and inspire others in their industry to do the same. We pray the peace they’ve created will be sustained to rebuild commuters’ trust,” he said.

Michael Zulu Primary School in Tsakani and Duduza Primary School each received 10 pairs of shoes. The group will host an event in Kwa-Thema on July 6, where one spectator will win a voucher to cover the cost of a learner’s and driver’s license.
