Dakar, 8 November 2025 Par Souveibou SAGNA, Au cours du Téra-meeting organised this Saturday at l’esplanade du stade Léopold-Sédar-Senghor, le Premier ministre Ousmane Sonko called on his supporters not to forget the reasons for their accession to power and drew a severe balance of the economic situation inherited from the former majority. “We have come to power with our programme, which we have adapted to the realities of the exercise of power after obtaining additional information on the economic and financial management of the country”, affirmed Mr. Sonko in front of a large crowd. According to him, the government team has found “a surendetted country” and the undeclared debts contracted by the outgoing government. This is a hidden and urgent matter. The Prime Minister denounced the misappropriations and practices which, according to him, have seriously deteriorated the public accounts. He insisted that the real level of indebtedness was much higher than the figures previously communicated by the previous administration.
