The BATN Foundation has partnered with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta to launch the Graduate Agripreneur Programme for the year 2025.  

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF), has announced the 2025 awardees of the Graduate Agripreneurship Programme (GAP) Grant during a ceremony at the Green Chamber of the University’s Senate Building. This year’s recipients have showcased extraordinary dedication to agriculture in various value chains. Included in this group are Habeebullahi Tijani, who achieved success in growing cassava; Ajibade Patience, whose business specialized in raising layers and producing eggs; and Oke Michael, who was involved in broiler farming and also explored value-added processing. Okunade Blessing, who also specialized in broiler production, joined him. Ogunmefun Felix distinguished himself in the field of egg production, and Fadipe John earned recognition for his commitment to tomato cultivation. During the event, Mr. Oludare Odusanya, the General Manager of BATN Foundation, commended the students for their creativity and perseverance. He stated, “These young agripreneurs exemplify what can be achieved when young people receive the appropriate resources and assistance.” At BATNF, our commitment extends beyond mere financial support for projects; we are dedicated to fostering a future in which agriculture evolves into a dynamic environment that encourages youth innovation and drives economic change. Professor, the Vice-Chancellor, Babatunde Kehinde was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Development, Professor. Kola Adebayo praised BATNF for its ongoing support of FUNAAB students and emphasized that the university is dedicated to training individuals who will create jobs instead of just looking for them.
