The very first national coordinator of the Programme des domaines agricoles communautaires (Prodac), Jean Pierre Senghor, has been singled out by the Inspection générale des finances (IGF) for having validated payment requests without any prior control, reports le journal l’Observateur dans sa livraison, specifying that the amount is estimated at 5.957. The IGF inspectors reproached the former national coordinator, Jean-Pierre Senghor, with “a grave management error”. These validations, without any prior control, concern an amount of 5 957 099 077 FCFA. The investigators have revealed that Mr Senghor, by cautioning the payments without the required prior guarantee, has failed to fulfil his contractual obligations and his duty to safeguard public funds.
