The Court of Auditors’ report: “We will prosecute all persons involved in the embezzlement”, Ousmane Diagne

The Senegalese government has met with the press this evening to comment on the report of the Court of Auditors, whose contents occupy all the discussions in Dakar. Meeting on the 10th floor of the administrative building, no less than five ministers prepared themselves for the game of questions and answers. Invited to comment on the possible consequences of what is known as the ‘branding of public funds in Senegal under Macky Sall’, Ousmane Diagne, the Minister of Justice, made it clear that an exhaustive investigation would be carried out and that all persons involved in acts that could be characterized as embezzlement would be prosecuted. “A-t-il fait savoir. This is a fact. If he refused to name the names of the persons liable to be prosecuted as invited by the journalists, Ousmane Diagne declared that only an investigation could situate the responsibilities. Like him, the Minister Mouhamadou Al-Amine Lô, the Secretary General of the Government has made it known that “these are grave crimes that have been committed not against the adults of today but against future generations”.
