L’Assemblée nationale was very busy at the beginning of the week. Under the chairmanship of Mr El Malick Ndiaye, the deputies met in plenary session on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 August to examine and adopt four major draft laws. Among them, the creation of the Office national de lutte contre la fraude et la corruption (OFNAC), the declaration of assets, the status and protection of whistleblowers, and access to information. These reforms constitute a decisive step forward in strengthening transparency, public ethics and good governance. They also reflect the will of parliamentarians to support the efforts of the State in the fight against corruption and to promote a culture of responsibility in the management of public affairs. With these votes, the first extraordinary session of the National Assembly ended on a high note, opening a new era of commitment to greater clarity and rigor in public life.
