In a post on the social network Facebook, this Monday 20 October, the president of the National Assembly El Malick Ndiaye paid tribute to the president of the traditional communicators of Senegal. “It is with deep sadness that I learned of the remembrance of the Lord by Mr Abdou Aziz Mbaye, President of the Traditional Communicators and Master of Ceremonies of the Family of Seydi Hadji Malick Sy (RTA) of Tivaouane. A prominent figure in traditional communication, he has incarnated with nobility and constancy the oral tradition in the service of the religious and cultural values of our nation”, writes El Malick Ndiaye. He adds: “I keep a particularly emotional thought, because an audience between him and me was scheduled this week. The fate was decided otherwise, but his memory remains alive, luminous and inspiring”. The President of the National Assembly expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, to the family of Seydi Hadji Malick Sy, and to all the traditional communicators of Senegal. Rappelé à Dieu ce dimanche à l’hôpital Fann des suites d’une maladie, Abdou Aziz Mbaye will be buried, this day, at Tivaouane, after the prayer of Tisbar (14h15).
