The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has wrapped up a regional tourism training session in Banjul, reaffirming its dedication to drawing 10 million tourists from within the community by 2029.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has successfully finished a five-day advanced training workshop focused on responsible tourism and the free movement of individuals, which took place in Banjul, The Gambia. This important meeting marked a key achievement in the rollout of the ECOTOUR Regional Policy (2021–2030), highlighting the Commission’s dedication to utilizing tourism as a lever for economic growth. In related news, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) wrapped up its regional tourism training in Banjul, pledging to draw 10 million intra-community tourists by 2029.
