The EU Delegation to Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, held an event at Triumph Luxury Hotel in New Cairo to commemorate World Water Day, highlighting the theme of “Glacier Preservation.” Protecting glaciers is essential for securing sustainable water supplies needed for drinking, agriculture, energy generation, and promoting healthy ecosystems. This is highlighted by the joint celebration of World Water Day 2025 by the European Union (EU) and Egypt, with an emphasis on the importance of glacier preservation.
