The Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development has allocated more than Shs1.2 trillion to ministries, departments, and agencies that are taking over the responsibilities of streamlined agencies. A letter sent on February 26, 2025, to accounting officers states that the funding will facilitate the execution of updated structures, as well as new roles and responsibilities for the ministries. Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa announced that the Finance Ministry has allocated funds for the operations of streamlined agencies.
