​The Forum de la PME 2025: Cap sur l’innovation et la souveraineté économique (Capture on innovation and economic sovereignty) was held in Brussels on the first of June. 

  The Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko officially launched, this Monday, the Forum de la PME 2025, a three-day event organized by the Agency de Développement et d’Encadrement des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (ADEPME). The Forum, which will take place from 18 to 20 February at the Grand Théâtre National and the Musée des Civilisations Noires, is placed under the seal of innovation and economic sovereignty. He also announced the implementation of a national support strategy focused on two major levers: accessibility to financing and market integration.In this context, the Prime Minister stressed the need to strengthen the competitiveness of Senegalese enterprises by ensuring better protection for them, in order to reduce their mortality rate. It also stressed the importance of facilitating access to national, regional and sub-regional markets, a key factor to stimulate their growth and guarantee their sustainability. The State is undertaking a major reform of the financing of SMEs, with a budgetary envelope that will increase from FCFA 600 billion in 2023 to FCFA 3 000 billion by 2028. This ambitious programme will be reinforced from April 2025 by an initiative led by APIX, which will organise the Invest in Senegal Forum to mobilise additional financing to accelerate the growth of SMEs and SMEs. By promoting their competitiveness on national and international markets, the government aims to inscribe Senegalese SMEs in a dynamic of sustainable and inclusive development.
