Faced with the accusations against him, the deputy Farba Ngom began his defence with a team of experienced lawyers. According to Les Échos, Mes Doudou Ndoye, Baboucar Cissé, Alassane Cissé and Pascal Gomis have been appointed to ensure its representation. This approach marks a crucial first step in his judicial strategy. At a press conference, Farba Ngom reaffirmed his confidence, claiming to have never touched public funds. “Even if I have to go to prison, I will do it with dignity”, he declared, in response to the allegations. He was very confident and recalled that his activities concerned only the private sector. Supported by the Alliance for the Republic (APR) and several allies, Farba Ngom received the support of President Macky Sall and officials like Me Sidiki Kaba.
