The Ministry of Health, with assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO), has revitalized the Infectious Disease Unit (IDU) in Nimule to strengthen public health security across borders in South Sudan.

In order to enhance the ability to treat infectious diseases and reduce the risk of disease spreading across borders, the Ministry of Health, aided by the World Health Organization (WHO), has set up and transferred an Infectious Diseases facility located at the Nimule border to the Magwi County Health Department. The recently introduced facility, which has a capacity of 15 beds, is part of the initiative by the Ministry of Health, with assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO), to reactivate the Infectious Disease Unit (IDU) in Nimule. This effort aims to improve public health security across borders in South Sudan.
