Completesports reports that Manu Garba has been named the head coach of the Golden Eaglets. Garba’s appointment has been ratified by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), based on the suggestion of its technical committee. This will mark the fourth time he takes charge of the Golden Eaglets. He previously served as head coach when the team triumphed at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013. Additionally, the executive committee has confirmed the selection of Moses Aduku as the head coach of the Falconets. Aduku has replaced Chris Danjuma as coach. Two years ago, Danjuma led Edo Queens to victory in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) championship. Aduku was also an assistant coach for the Falconets when they reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica in 2022. Both Garba and Aduku will officially start their roles on Sunday, as their respective teams have significant upcoming matches. The Falconets have a 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda in September, while the Golden Eaglets will compete in the WAFU B U-17 Boys Tournament in Nigeria, also scheduled for that month.
