The NLO has issued a caution to clubs regarding the recruitment of players from other teams.

The Nationwide League One (NLO) has issued a warning to clubs about the practice of attracting players from non-professional teams. They emphasized that such actions are against their regulations. The league also noted that this behavior can lead to penalties. Although FIFA has stated that transfers of amateur players are free since they are not contracted, this does not give clubs permission to engage in poaching or inducement. “The NLO Secretariat would like to remind all clubs about the rules regarding the poaching of players from other teams,” the statement said. “The NLO strongly disapproves of this conduct as it is explicitly prohibited by our rulebook. Consequently, any clubs found to be directly or indirectly inducing players without following proper procedures will face sanctions from the Nationwide League One.”
