According to a recent report from the World Obesity Federation, it is projected that by 2030, almost 50% of women in Africa will be classified as overweight or obese. Experts compare this growing concern to the HIV epidemic, highlighting issues of stigma and limited access to treatments. Currently, 40% of women in Africa are classified as overweight, and this figure is projected to increase to 45% in the future. This trend highlights the growing obesity epidemic among women on the continent.
