The Prime Minister announced a policy of zero tolerance against corruption, during the closure of the first edition of the Conférence des administrateurs et managers publics. He specified that the rendition des comptes would be carried out without indulgence. “Since 24 March 2024, with the election of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, we have now entered the era of zero tolerance, both for the detection and sanctioning of occult practices, in accordance with our commitment to render accounts to the people”, he said, as reported by Le Quotidien. The Prime Minister expressed his concern about the reputation of the administration, often pointed at for acts of corruption, over-invoicing, influence peddling and misuse of public funds. He recalled that the country is ranked 123rd out of 190 in the corruption index. This declaration was relayed by Le Quotidien. He invites to write this new page together, following the vision and the will of the Head of State. He stressed that the capacity for dialogue and negotiation had eroded, generating mistrust and immobility. However, he remains optimistic thanks to a new generation ready to act for the good of the nation.
