The rehabilitation center at the hospital is working to increase awareness regarding brain injuries.  

March 20 is World Head Injury Awareness Day and the Life Springs Parkland Hospital’s rehabilitation centre celebrated the day to raise awareness.

This rehabilitation centre currently has 14 patients.

The patients were given the opportunity to colour in a picture of the brain using numbers that contain information about each brain part and thus learn more about the brain.

Each patient’s family, who came to visit later during visiting hours, coloured in the same brain map to compare the two.

The centre educated their patients as well as their family members through this celebration.
