According to Completesports, the residents of Abuja will be able to see the Women’s AFCON trophy during a celebration parade held by the Super Falcons on Monday. The Super Falcons achieved a historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title on Saturday night, coming back to defeat the host team, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, 3-2 in the final. The team and their staff are expected to arrive at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by noon on Monday. Additionally, Gusau mentioned that the Super Falcons’ victory in WAFCON 2024 will motivate the Super Eagles in their World Cup qualifying efforts. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is organizing a trophy parade for the team to pass through busy neighborhoods in an open-roof bus, showcasing the trophy to the public. “We are coordinating a parade featuring the players and their coaches in an open-roof bus, which will travel along Airport Road, Berger junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, concluding at the Presidential Villa,” stated Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary. “This will provide many individuals in those regions with a unique opportunity to see the Women AFCON trophy.” Written by Adeboye Amosu
