  In Senegal, the Rift Valley Fever (FVR) continues to claim lives. The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP) announces this Thursday having recorded as of 12 November 2025 one new death and seven (07) confirmed cases. Before this announcement, the last death was on 9 November. According to the MSHP communiqué, since the beginning of the FVR pandemic, Senegal has recorded a total of 443 confirmed cases, including 093 deaths and 391 recoveries. Almost all the regions of the country are affected by this epidemic, including Saint-Louis (331 cases), Matam (30 cases), Fatick (24 cases), Louga (20 cases), Kaolack (18 cases) and Dakar (10 cases). As regards the Mpox epidemic, since the confirmation of the first case, eight (08) confirmed cases and two (02) probable cases have been recorded, of which nine (09) were located in the Dakar region and one in the Ziguinchor region. Nine (09) patients were cured and no deaths were recorded, while 22 contacts were followed up. Rift Valley fever is transmitted to humans by several means, including the bite of infected mosquitoes, through direct contact with contaminated animals.
