President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the Yuletide holidays following official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.
DAILY POST reports that Tinubu had earlier departed Abuja on Saturday on a three-state tour.
While in Borno State, the president inaugurated projects executed by Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.
Tinubu also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem, in Maiduguri.
DAILY POST reports that the president then proceeded to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Islamic cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.
He arrived in Lagos following the condolence visit, where he is expected to engage in several activities during the holiday period.
Among his engagements, Tinubu is scheduled to attend the Eyo Festival on December 27 as the guest of honour.
The festival, to be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate prominent personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as the late former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
