Top Premier League clubs rumored to be considering an unexpected transfer for Jackson.

Manchester United is reportedly keeping an eye on Nicolas Jackson’s situation at Chelsea. Jackson is currently in a precarious position at the Club World Cup champions due to the new signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. After moving from Villarreal to Chelsea for £32 million in 2023, he has tallied 33 goals and 12 assists in 81 games. However, doubts have emerged about Jackson’s goal-scoring ability, as he netted only 10 goals in the Premier League last season. According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth (via talkSPORT), United is among the clubs interested in the striker’s future at Chelsea. Meanwhile, the club is focusing on player sales and pursuing a potential deal for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, following their initial £55m offer. Additionally, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, who previously coached Jackson at Villarreal, also has an ongoing interest in him, having played him 27 times during their time together. Jackson had a strong beginning to his second season at Chelsea, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in the league ahead of the holiday season. However, he missed the last two matches of the season after receiving a straight red card in a 2-0 loss to Newcastle. He made a comeback by scoring the second goal in their 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the Conference League final. Unfortunately, he received another red card shortly after being substituted on against Flamengo in the Club World Cup. Chelsea clinched the tournament title with a 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain, but Jackson did not play in the final, in which his new striker competitor Pedro scored the third goal from an assist by Cole Palmer. Delap participated by being one of the four substitutes, while Marc Guiu stayed on the bench.
