A young man of 25 years, Bathie Diop, originally from Touba, drowned this Wednesday around 18 hours in the basin of retention of Ngélemou, at Ndamatou. Suffering from mental disorders, the victim would have accidentally fallen into a recently inaugurated pool, mais déjà saturé.. It’s the second drowning case in less than two weeks on this site. Because of the depth and lack of resources, the firefighters had to call on a team of specialized divers. This drama reawakens the concerns about the safety of hydraulic works in an urban environment.
