A pirogue left Senegal two days ago in the direction of Spain and tragically made shipwreck off Nouadhibou, in Mauritania. More than 53 people were found dead, most of them of Senegalese origin. This tragedy once again highlighted the dangers of illegal immigration and the need to strengthen efforts to offer future prospects to young people. May their souls rest in peace.
