
Anietie Uko has left Nigeria National League, NNL, side Akwa United, DAILY POST reports.
He is reported to be nearing a move abroad.
Uko announced his departure in a farewell message on the club’s social media.
The experience midfielder expressed his desire to see the Promise Keepers secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, next season.
“I wish Akwa United all the best in the league. I hope to see Akwa United in the NPFL in the 2026/2027 season.” Uko told Akwa United’s media.
Akwa United currently top the NNL Conference B table with 19 points from nine matches.
They will be up against Rovers FC in their opening fixture of the second stanza later this month.
