Transfer deadline day: Man Utd announce deals for two players 

Manchester United, on Monday, announced transfer deals for two of its players.

In a separate statement, the Red Devils announced that Ethan Wheatley and James Scanlon have left Old Trafford for new clubs.

Wheatley will spend the rest of the season on loan at League One side Bradford City.

The striker returned from a similar spell with Northampton Town in January and has now agreed a fresh switch, away from Old Trafford.

On his part, Scanlon secured a first loan move of his career to join League Two side Swindon Town for the remainder season.

The 19-year-old midfielder has amassed 20 caps for Gibraltar’s national team, scoring twice.

“Best of luck to James for the rest of the season,” Man United’s statement partly read.
