On Monday, Real Madrid finalized the acquisition of Álvaro Carreras from Benfica. Carreras has signed a contract with Los Blancos that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 30, 2031. Previously, he transferred to Benfica from Manchester United, where he was recognized as the best Under-23 player for the 2021–22 season. During his stint at Benfica, Carreras won the Portuguese League Cup this year. His official presentation as a new player for Real Madrid is scheduled for Tuesday at 1 pm in Madrid, after which he will address the media in the press room at Real Madrid City.
