On Tuesday, Manchester United announced that two of their players have been loaned to new teams. The players are midfielder Emma Watson and defender Jess Simpson. The Red Devils released this news in separate statements on their website. Watson, 18, has joined Everton, another team in the Barclays Women’s Super League, for the rest of the season. She made her United debut against Everton in November after signing with the club from Rangers in August 2023. Meanwhile, Simpson has been loaned to Bristol City in the Barclays Women’s Championship for the latter part of the season. She made her senior debut for United in a League Cup victory against Everton in November and recently played for England’s Under-23 team. Simpson has been with the club since she was 11 years old and was part of the squad that won the 2021/22 WSL Academy League and Cup as she advanced through the youth ranks.
