Former Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva has terminated his contract with Fluminense.
According to TouchlineX, Silva terminated his contract with Fluminense because he wants a move back to Europe in hopes of being closer to his family.
The Brazilian’s clear plan is to move to Europe as a free agent ahead of any other option in the Middle East or Major League Soccer in the coming days.
The 41-year-old is keen to try a new chapter as a free agent ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer.
Silva will be available with immediate effect from January 1, when the winter transfer window opens.
The veteran defender has played for clubs like Dynamo Moscow, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Chelsea previously.
