Troops have restored normalcy after a clash broke out at Iware market in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The development was contained in a post shared on Thursday on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
According to security sources cited in the post, the incident happened around 2:45 p.m. on March 24 following a distress call about a fight at the market.
The clash was said to involve suspected armed Fulani men who were celebrating Sallah before the situation escalated into a disturbance.
“On arrival, troops discovered one person with injuries and immediately evacuated the victim for medical attention,” a source said.
Makama revealed that troops of the 114 Battalion, working together with personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and local hunters, were able to bring the situation under control.
“Security operatives have since taken over the area, carrying out regular patrols to maintain peace and reassure residents,” Makama wrote.
Residents have been urged to remain calm, obey the law, and support security agencies with useful information to prevent further trouble.
