Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he recently spoke with Donald Trump, who believes there is a chance to reach a deal with Iran.
In a video statement, Netanyahu said Trump thinks it is possible to use “the mighty achievements obtained by [the Israeli military] and the US military to realise the goals of the war in an agreement, an agreement that will safeguard our vital interests.”
At the same time, Netanyahu said military operations are ongoing.
“In parallel, we continue to attack both in Iran and Lebanon,” he said.
He added that Israel is steadily weakening key threats: “We are methodically dismantling the missile programme and the nuclear programme and continue to hit Hezbollah hard.”
Netanyahu also claimed that “just a few days ago, we eliminated two more nuclear scientists.”
