The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has urged President Donald Trump of the United States to cut the supply of guns and ammunition in a bid to stop genocide in Nigeria.
Reacting to Trump’s war threat against Nigeria, Tanko noted that Nigeria does not produce guns, and suppliers must be importing weapons into the country.
In an interview with European Parliament TV, Tanko assured that former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is a unifier who is concerned about both Muslims and Christians.
According to Tanko: “As the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, I see Peter Obi as a unifier. Every position he takes concerning Nigeria stands in the interest of protecting everybody.
“Whether you are a Muslim or a Christian, as long as you are a Nigerian, Peter Obi wants to protect your interest.
“He represents the unification that Nigerians are looking for. He never deviates based on whether you are a Northerner or a Southerner.
“That is what we need in Nigeria: a pious leader who can change the narrative of our country.
“Peter Obi is concerned about all Nigerians, both Muslims and Christians alike. Northerners or Southerners do not produce guns or bullets; somebody must be importing them.
“So anybody who wants to help Nigeria should cut the supply, and Nigeria will be at peace.
“Peter Obi is saying everybody is concerned; let’s stop the killing, as every life matters, whether you are a Muslim or a Christian.
“If you want to help Nigeria, cut the supply of guns and ammunition and stop the killing.”
