Tsitsipas believes that Alcaraz and Sinner do not belong in the same league as Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer.

Tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has revealed that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz do not belong in the same class as Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. Remember that Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal, referred to as the Big 3, excelled in men’s tennis for more than ten years. They were called the golden generation of tennis due to their dedication to staying competitive with one another. Together, they secured a total of 66 Grand Slam titles and over 90 Masters 1000 championships. However, after Federer retired in 2022 and Nadal in November 2024, Alcaraz and Sinner have rekindled a rivalry reminiscent of that shared by the Big 3 on the court. Since 2024, the two players have been the leading figures in the ATP, each claiming victories in the last seven Grand Slam events, with Sinner taking four titles and Alcaraz three. In an interview with Tennis365, Tsitsipas emphasized that more achievements are necessary before Sinner and Alcaraz can be compared to the Big Three. “We can’t say Jannik and Carlos surpass Roger and Rafa until they secure a similar number of titles. What is evident is the high caliber of their tennis, and the rise of new talents will keep happening. I firmly believe that over the next five years, we’ll see even more remarkable players emerge.” “What I am confident in is that the Big 3 raised the profile of tennis significantly, and their title count will be difficult to exceed,” he stated.
