Two arrested for allegedly killing cattle in Benue community

Security operatives have arrested two individuals in connection with the killing of cows and the recovery of meat suspected to have been stolen in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

Sources disclosed that the suspects, identified as Sylvester Kuman and Nyitor Akaangee, both from Udei Village, were apprehended at about 1:00 p.m. on March 22 after security agencies acted on credible intelligence regarding the incident.

During the raid, items believed to be cow meat were recovered from them, strengthening suspicions of their involvement in the act.

Authorities further revealed that preliminary investigations had commenced to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the killing of the cows, including the ownership of the livestock and whether the act was part of a wider criminal network.
