
Two people have been killed as a result of an accident that occurred in Ibadan, DAILY POST reports.
Our correspondent learnt that a truck reportedly lost control after suffering brake failure at Beere Roundabout in the early hours of Tuesday.
It was learnt that the truck rammed into some vehicles and roadside traders and pedestrians.
DAILY POST gathered that two people, a man and a woman, lost their lives in the accident.
Our correspondent also learnt that some people were injured during the incident.
Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police command, Olayinka Ayanlade when contacted confirmed the incident, saying the bodies of the deceasedsā have been moved to the morgue.
He added that the injured have been takemn to the hospital for medical attention.
Ayanlade said, āPreliminary findings reveal that the incident occurred when a Mack truck belonging to Bovas Oil lost control while in motion from the Beere area and subsequently crashed along the Oje Market axis, resulting in the unfortunate death of a man and a woman, injuring two other persons, and damaging five tricycles as well as a Toyota Camry car. The truck was driven by a male adult who is currently at large.ā
