UMass Lowell Student Commits Su*c*de, Jumps Off University Avenue Bridge
An e-mail from the school to students at the University of Massachusetts Lowell on January 24 confirmed that a student jumped off a gate to their death.
Information of a jacket at University Avenue Bridge started to surface on Friday afternoon. The person allegedly jumped off the Richard P. Howe Bridge to commit suicide.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after 11: 10 a. m. Emergency personnel including Lowell Fire Department, the Lowell Police, and UMass Lowell Police, were all on site but could not save the adult.
In an internet fire to the UMass Lowell Community, school officials confirmed the deceased was a scholar.
“UMass Lowell officers, along with police and fire crews from the town of Lowell, responded to a record of a pupil in the Merrimack River near the Howe Bridge at University Avenue this night at around 10:40 a.m.,” according to a statement from Lowell authorities. Painfully the pupil did not survive, and the Lowell Police Department notified the child’s family this day”, the message read.

A number of commuters, including UMass Lowell residents who frequently cross the bridge that connects North Campus to East Campus and University Crossing, witnessed the incident.
According to the internet, the learner was a freshman at Lowell studying computer science. In response to the drama, UMass Lowell extended its sympathies to the person’s home and announced the availability of mental health resources for those in need.
