​Usurpation of identity on TikTok and Facebook: An employee of the Senelec arrested by the police, the details are shocking 

  La Sûreté urbaine du Commissariat central de Rufisque has opened an investigation following a complaint lodged on Tuesday 11 November 2025 by police officer T. I was in the service of the second company of the Mobile Intervention Group (GMI). According to the victim, an individual used since 2019 his personal data to create fake accounts on TikTok and Facebook, posing as him in order to scam citizens, reports Seneweb.. It all started on Saturday 8 November, when the police were alerted via TikTok that a certain Babacar Guèye was presenting himself as police adjudant at the Commissariat central de Rufisque using his photo and identity. The investigators, after exploiting the pages concerned, have detected several telephone numbers linked to these fraudulent accounts. These elements have allowed to locate the suspect à la Cité Tacko. An operation carried out around 20h30 led to his arrest at his family home, according to Seneweb. The accused, identified as Boubacar Guèye, aged 29 and presenting himself as agent à la Sénélec, has unreservedly acknowledged the facts of which he is accused. He was placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation.
