The chauffeur domiciled in Guédiawaye appeared on Tuesday 5 August before the Dakar Court of First Instance for having attempted to impersonate a police officer in Dieuppeul (Dakar). The facts date back to 30 July 2025, when the guard of a bar in Dieuppeul, Idrissa Doumbouya reported that the defendant had approached him to ask him for his identity papers. Alerted by a colleague who knew the local police well, the vigilante appealed to the police who were nearby. The latter have proceeded with the interrogation of Mamadou Mballo Ndiaye. During the investigation, Idrissa Doumbouya declared that the accused had presented himself as a policeman and had asked a young girl for her identity card. Faced with the refusal of the latter who reproached him for not having declined, lui-même his identity, le vigile had sought the intervention of a vrai agent de police.
