Ghanaian media character and present host of the website social talk show For the Records, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, was spotted in a video receiving a ‘ brown envelope’ reportedly containing$ 12, 000 in cash.
In the movie, Afrifa, a previous number on Angel TV/Fm, is seen taking the money out of the box. He proceeded to qualify it and, evidently after reaching a certain amount, pocketed it.
He appeared to be handing over the remainder to someone else, probably as their ‘ cut’, before the movie breaks out.
The video was shared with the caption:” Okatakyie Afrifa, come and explain this$ 12, 000 you collected. What job was it for”?
The banner went back to suggest that Afrifa was paid by the NPP to ‘ create Mahama unclean’.
After the 2024 elections, Afrifa, who campaigned for the NPP, left his position with the Angel Broadcasting Network ( ABN ) and started an online talk show, For the Records.
The present has been strongly critical of the fresh NDC state and has also sparked a rivalry with questionable U. S. based Ghanaian political critic Kevin Taylor, a fervent NPP critic. Taylor, during their conflict, exposed Afrifa’s present for being chemical and getting likes from Vietnam.
For the Records appears to be the NPP’s response to Taylor’s effect in the online space, raising concerns over whether leading members of the now-opposition group are funding Afrifa.
