
The rerun elections into the State House of Assembly in Ungogo Local Government area of Kano, witnessed unexpected low turnout with polling units having only a few voters at about 11am.
In Panisau polling unit, five electoral officers arrived about 8am and as at 10.30am only six persons had voted.
Similarly at 003 Kera Panisau Ward with 804 registered voters, only 19 voted as at 11am according to the presiding officer Sani Kabiru. The presiding officer of 019 Ezier said only four persons had voted out of 31 registered .
At Ungogo Kudu with 54 voters, only three voters had voted according to the presiding officer, Aisha Sani Dalha. Also, at
Ungogo Kudu1, with 1378 registered voters, 77 persons had at the time of filing this report voted, Basma Ahmad Salihu, presiding officer, said.
Our reporter observed that on the INEC ballot papers, there is no sign of PDP, NNPP, and the ADC.
