Additionally, Everton has recognized Payne, a player from the Super Falcons, for her role in achieving this 10th WAFCON championship. In response to the victory, Lawal remarked in an interview that the Super Falcons delivered one of the most remarkable comebacks in the WAFCON final. “I’m truly at a loss for words at the moment.” The Super Falcons delivered one of their most outstanding performances with their comeback victory over Morocco. “When they were down 2-0, I was simply hoping for them to score a goal, as that would motivate them to net even more. They made it happen. The Super Falcons have proven themselves as the top team in Africa and rightfully deserve to win the WAFCON title.”
