WAFCON 2024: Ordega Uncertain for Super Falcons Match Against Morocco

According to Completesports, Francisca Ordega, a key player for Al Ittihad Ladies, might be absent from the Super Falcons’ Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final in 20193 against the host nation, Morocco. According to reports, Ordega has had a minor impact for Nigeria during the WAFCON 2024 finals. She did not participate in Nigeria’s first two matches against Tunisia and Botswana but started in the final group game versus Algeria. In related news, the Super Falcons are prepared for their decisive match against Morocco, as stated by Madugu. A knock has prevented her from participating in the 2-1 semi-final win against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana. Ordega hasn’t practiced with her teammates leading up to the final and is unlikely to be chosen for the match against the Atlas Lionesses. The 31-year-old aims to secure her fifth WAFCON title with the Super Falcons. She was part of the team that won the championship in 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018. Additionally, she has played in four FIFA Women’s World Cups (2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023). Reported by Adeboye Amosu.
