Following the Super Falcons’ triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, six players from the Super Eagles have contributed N24 million to support the team. The Super Falcons secured their historic 10th title after a thrilling 3-2 win against Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses in Rabat on Saturday. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) shared this news in a statement on Monday. Additionally, President Tinubu has awarded the victorious Super Falcons $100,000 each, along with houses and national honors. The contributors include: William Troost-Ekong, Olaoluwa Aina, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo. The team and their officials returned to the country from Morocco on Monday afternoon. They met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock. Tinubu honored each of the 24 players with the national award of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), provided them with a three-bedroom apartment, and awarded them $100,000 each.
