The Senegalese political scene continues to arouse vivid reactions after the announcement of the flight of journalist and director general of the Avenir Communication group, Madiambal Diagne, targeted by a financial investigation of 21 billion FCFA. The Ministry of the Interior reacted immediately by issuing an international arrest warrant against him. In the aftermath, the heads of the Division des Investigations Criminelles (DIC) and the commissariat de l’aéroport international Blaise Diagne (AIBD) were relieved of their duties. On social networks, voices are rising to comment on these developments. Waly Diouf Bodian, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, shared on his Facebook page a critical reflection on the evolution of the national political game. According to him, “billionaire criminals have plundered the country and are now using their resources against the regime in place”. He also believes that “the courage and resilience which once characterized the past seem to have been replaced by money in the new opposition”. Pour the M. Bodian, cette situation représente une équation politique whose variables, although presented as uncertain, would be in reality clear.
