The Senegalese artist Waly Seck, an emblematic figure of the mbalax music, is expected before the judge of instruction of the Pool Judiciaire Financier (PJF) on 2 December 2025 for his audition au fond. This summons comes in the context of a money laundering case that has been rocking the judiciary and media in Senegal for several months. The case dates back to May 2025, when the financial prosecutor requested the indictment of Waly Seck in the framework of an investigation related to Amadou Sall, son of former President Macky Sall. The suspicions concern a transaction of 210 million CFA francs concerning the sale of a luxury vehicle, suspected of being a money laundering. Waly Seck, leader of the group Raam Daan et fils du regretté Thione Seck, denied any involvement in the illegal sale, claiming that it was legitimate. In September 2025, the events have accelerated. On 24 September, Waly Seck was taken to the PJF by the Division of Criminal Investigations (DIC) for an interview.
